The Medical Department is led by the Director who is a licensed physician with specialty board certification in pediatrics, psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and who remains on call 24/7 to assist with medical and psychiatric emergencies. A Consulting Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist is on site two full days per week providing direct service to clients, participating on leadership teams and providing consultation to both clinical and direct staff members. An RN Nursing Supervisor, LPN and CNA are onsite weekdays and evenings providing triage and support, as well as coordinating all community services including but not limited to dental and eye care, specialty medical appointments and all related follow up care. A Omnicare of RI provides pharmacy services, and can respond to medication changes on a 24-hour delivery basis. All these department members communicate regularly with families and actively engage clients and their families in decisions around medical and psychiatric treatment. Assistance with arranging psychiatric and medical services after discharge is provided as a core element of treatment. Our campus is peanut/tree-nut aware, with our kitchen preparing and serving only nut-free meals and products.
